A different kind of tiredness.
One that seeped past skin and bones to nudge on your soul.
The kind that happens when you go night after night, day and night, chasing dreams with your lover’s call on hold.
She was drained from the “plans putting”, “timer setting”, “nocturnal working”, cancelling, rescheduling…
Lost and weak without his shoulders to hold.
It was fear.
The growing fear of just how long it had been since they spoke.
Would she stutter over words, tripping and misplacing the alphabets when he responded to her “hello” over the phone?
Would there be a weighty silence re -echoing her heartbeat?
Oh please don’t pick up…
Would they start from the scratch; strangers crossing the bridge over to acquaintance?
This fear with clenched teeth was gnawing what was left of her but with shivering fingers she held on to her phone.
“Hello, I miss you and …
I’m coming home”.
He smiled. She would never know that He had been out in the cold…watching and waiting for her arm to hold.

I wrote this poem at a time when I got so carried away with doing “good things” but ignoring the most needful, which is staying connected to my source- God.
Just like fishes that cannot survive outside water, we cannot survive without God.
The beautiful part is that He is always there, ever ready to welcome you no matter how long or how far you’ve strayed.
God is bae! There is so much to enjoy in him. Get to study the word and spend time in prayer…so beautiful.
Build a relationship on purpose.

By the way, this post is very late and I apologize. It should have been posted on Sunday but I was at a village with terrible network and a low battery. I almost postponed it to next week, but “better late than never”.
I had a very beautiful weekend at a rural evangelism (rural rugged) organised by Nigeria Christian Corpers fellowship. It was amazing!! My faith was boosted as I saw instant healings by the laying on of hands, demons were tormented out of people by words spoken in the name of Jesus. Chai!!
Incase you didn’t know, I’m telling you now that there is God and He is inside of you. You are not an ordinary person, you are powerful!
Thanks for reading once again. Seriously, I love you and you mean so much to me. Have a blessed week❤❤❤.
